Twitter RP FAQ

What is the Voltron Twitter RP?
A real-time group fanfic, essentially. Also could probably kind of be seen as performance art.

Are you that same Twitter RP that's been running since Voltron Force?
Yes and no. That was also a Snarktron Force production, but after four years and a couple of personnel changes we decided it was time for a fresh start.

What continuity is this, then?
We made our own! It's a very, very AU reimagining. The basic premise: the Alliance sent out the Altea Expeditionary Force to search for the legendary planet Altea, supposedly the hiding place of Voltron. Their mission was to find, recover, repair, and test the robot, then deliver it for a proper squad of combat pilots to take control of.
Then stuff happened.

Can I watch?
Of course! Here's the official list: https://twitter.com/Snarktron/lists/voltron-rp

What are all these different brackets and stuff for?
Being a text-based medium with no formatting options, we've had to kind of make up our own system.
*This* means an action is taking place. It can also be used to give a status that isn't really an action. (You're on the internet, you probably understand internet asterisks.)
~This~ means a character is thinking to themselves.
{This} means a character is speaking through telepathy.
^This^ means a character is not speaking English.
Putting a [name] in brackets at the start of a tweet means an NPC is speaking or acting. (Sometimes the whole tweet will just be bracketed, if the NPC is unnamed or is clear in context.)
Putting (txt) at the start of a tweet means it's a text communication, via some form of personal comms, and assumed to be private unless otherwise specified.

Make up your minds, are the bad guys Galrans or Drules?
Both. Galra/Galran is the political entity, Drule is the race. (Basically the same distinction as Earthling vs. human.)

Is there a way to see older material?
There are archives here, though the formatting is something of a work in progress.

Can I play?
Potentially. We enjoy new blood! The nature of the project does mean we'd need to get to know you first, though. Compatibility is a thing. (A note: it is a closed group, so if you just try to RP with us out of nowhere, you're likely to be ignored. On rare occasions we will interact OOC with others, but that's at our discretion.)

I have questions about the characters/plot.
...Probably easiest to just ask us via Twitter. Heh.
